Ben Shephard reveals VERY embarrassing moment GMB co-star Kate Garraway had in a hotel
Tipping Point wouldn’t be the same without Ben Shephard, and the host always knows how to keep things interesting. In Friday’s show, he convinced contestant and Good Morning Britain co-host Kate Garraway to spill the beans on a particularly embarrassing run-in she once had while staying in a hotel. Ben explained: “You know that dream where you go to work naked then you wake up in great panic/relief because it was only a dream – well for @kategarraway it wasn’t a dream, it was real, and for the security guard who copped an eyeful it’s now a recurring nightmare.” Kate explained her mishap to Ben In the video posted to Instagram, Ben asks Kate to tell the audience about the time she traumatised a security guard. Kate hilariously explains: “I was staying overnight at a hotel, and as you know, we get up very early in the morning. I staggered downstairs in this hotel just after two [am], and I couldn’t get out of the door, so I was rattling the door and this security guard came rushing up and said: ‘Let me let you out,’ and as he was doing so he kept looking really scared. Grace 1: An embarrassing saga for Iran that is not over yet
Diplomatic editor @DominicWaghorn Monday 19 August 2019 18:24, UK The seizure of the Grace 1 oil tanker was a major embarrassment for Iran, springing from a navigational gamble that did not pay off. Its release allows the Iranians to save some face but the saga goes on. British and Gibraltarian forces could only seize the Grace 1 – now renamed the Adrian Darya 1 – because she briefly entered Gibraltarian waters on 4 July in the dead of night. She took the risk, under cover of darkness because, it’s thought, she urgently needed to rendezvous with another vessel to pick up spare parts. The Royal Marines were waiting to pounce. It was excruciating for the Iranian government. Grace 1: An embarrassing saga for Iran that is not over yet
With male investors embarrassed to ask questions about periods and breastfeeding, will femtech ever take off?
Over the last century, there has been a revolution in women’s lives in everything from employment to fertility and having our say in how the country is run. But there’s one fundamental area which has only recently experienced such an overhaul: health. Men still make up the majority of clinical trial participants (famously exemplified when researchers investigated interactions between “female Viagra” and alcohol, and 92 per cent of the study group was male). We have seen stubbornly little innovation in the menstruation sector. Menopause remains taboo. With male investors embarrassed to ask questions about periods and breastfeeding, will femtech ever take off?
Amazon’s FC Ambassadors embarrassment proves the importance of authenticity in employee social media
email: [email protected] Facing growing scrutiny of its business practices and associated negative headlines, Amazon last year launched a program called FC Ambassadors. The concept: have rank-and-file employees tweet in defense of the company, particularly its warehouse working conditions, compensation and benefits. At the time, I called FC Ambassadors “bad social media strategy” and wrote: “the problem is that the program appears to be little more than a PR effort and very few seem to believe that the tweets from FC ambassadors are authentic. In fact, ironically, most of the media buzz around FC ambassadors program suggests that many believe Amazon’s effort lends credence to the very claims it’s trying to dispel.” A year later, FC Ambassadors is back in the news , and not for a good reason. ‘Godfather’ actor: Cuomo embarrassed himself with Fredo rant
1:07pm “The Godfather” actor Gianni Russo has a message for CNN anchor Chris Cuomo — fuhgeddaboudit. Russo, who played Godfather Vito Corleone’s wife-beating son-in-law Carlo Rizzi in the classic mobster flick, says Cuomo made a fool out of himself when he flew off the handle after being called “Fredo,” according to a report. “I couldn’t understand, because he’s such an intelligent kid, educated and everything else. I heard he’s hurt his career,” the 75-year-old actor told TMZ, adding that Cuomo’s father, the late ex-Gov. Mario Cuomo, “would smack him” if he heard the rant. Cuomo, 49, went on a vulgar, caught-on-camera rant during an event on Shelter Island last week, after being called “Fredo” — Corleone’s bumbling son in the movies — going so far as to say the moniker is like the N-word for Italian-Americans. ‘Godfather’ actor: Cuomo embarrassed himself with Fredo rant
Carolyn Hax: My girlfriend is hiding our relationship. Is it embarrassment, or something worse?
DEAR CAROLYN: My girlfriend and I have been dating about a year. We work in the same company but in different departments, so we have virtually no interaction in the office and no overlap in friends and co-workers. I’m going through a divorce and currently separated from my wife. The problem is that my girlfriend doesn’t want anyone to know we’re dating. She is worried about what other people may think of her. I suggest you ask her. Carolyn Hax: My girlfriend is hiding our relationship. Is it embarrassment, or something worse?
